Non-Woven Roll Media
Our non-woven media is applied for coolant filtration on gravity, vacuum, and pressure filter units. The available widths range from 1 inch to 131 inches. Additionally, we offer FDA-approved filter materials suitable for use in the hot oil frying industry. Our team can also provide custom widths, lengths, and core dimensions.
Polypropylene
Spunbond Polypropylene is made from continuously extruded resin and point bonded for additional strength. It is an excellent low cost choice for applications generating large particulates such as machining. It is naturally hydrophobic and while very strong, it is susceptible to blinding in environments with high tramp oil.
Its characteristics include:
Spunbond, Pointbond
Continuous Fiber
Less Uniform Fiber Structure
Surface Filtration
High tensile strength, especially at higher basis weights
Low cost compared to other synthetic fibers
Oleophilic
Polypropylene is a ubiquitous product commonly used in markets ranging from medical, to hygiene to furniture and bedding production. For this reason it is considered a commodity product.
